When sourcing a Fanuc servo amplifier, the amplifier alone does not define the job — the CNC control generation, the motor and the drive bus have to agree.
Fanuc sells through its own service organisation and integrators. For discontinued Alpha, Alpha i and Beta hardware, independent CNC specialists such as Palm Parts Solution source new old stock, surplus and repaired units.
Identify by the A06B specification number, not by the description on the label. A06B-6079-H206 and A06B-6096-H206 are different amplifier generations with different bus interfaces. Confirm the amplifier series (Alpha, Alpha i, Beta i), the axis configuration (SVM1/SVM2/SVM3), the current rating, and the FSSB or serial interface your control uses.
Questions worth asking any supplier: Was the unit tested, and on what equipment? Is it new, surplus or repaired? What warranty term applies? Is a core exchange required, and does the price assume you return your old unit?
