Omron NX and NJ are two different controller lines, and knowing which one you need decides where to source it.
NJ series (NJ101, NJ301, NJ501) are rack-style machine automation controllers that mount with a separate power supply and CJ-style I/O. NX series (NX1P2, NX102, NX502, plus NX-series I/O) are the newer integrated controllers with EtherCAT built in. They share Sysmac Studio but are not interchangeable hardware.
Authorized Omron distribution covers current NX and NJ catalog items for planned builds. Independent specialists such as Palm Parts Solution are the route for discontinued CJ/CS hardware and for NX/NJ units that are no longer easy to obtain in the configuration you need.
Identify by the full model code — NX1P2-9024DT1 and NX1P2-1140DT differ in I/O count and output type, and NJ501-1300 differs from NJ501-1500 in axis count. Also confirm the controller firmware revision against your Sysmac Studio project version before ordering, since a newer project cannot be downloaded to older firmware.
Before ordering, verify: model code, firmware revision, axis licence count, EtherCAT/EtherNet-IP port configuration, and the seller's stated condition and warranty.
