ABB A & AF Block Contactors

The A & AF Block Contactors series groups the ABB block-contactor references catalogued by Palm Parts Solution. Nine part numbers are currently catalogued, across three ABB designations:

• A-series (A9, A12, A16) — A9-30-01, A9-30-10, A9-40-00, A12-30-01, A16-30-01, A16-30-10
• B-series (B9, B12) — B9-40-00, B12-30-10
• VB7 — VB7-30-10-P

Reading the reference: the digits after the letter identify the ABB frame size (9, 12, 16), and the pair after the dash describes the contact arrangement — 30-10 is three main poles plus one normally-open auxiliary, 30-01 is three main poles plus one normally-closed auxiliary, and 40-00 is a four-pole arrangement with no auxiliary contact.

Coil voltage is not part of the base reference above; ABB adds it as a suffix on the device label. Send the complete marking from your existing unit when requesting a quote so the correct coil variant is matched.
