Overview
Stratix industrial Ethernet switches are jointly developed by Rockwell Automation and Cisco. They combine industrial-grade hardware (DIN rail mount, –40 to +70 °C, EMI-hardened) with Cisco IOS or Catalyst-based switching, plus tight integration into Studio 5000 via Add-On Profiles.
Palm Parts Solution catalogues 61 Allen-Bradley 1783 catalog numbers in this family, organised into six collections. Five of them are narrow commercial lines: Stratix 5700 (1783-BMS, 19), Stratix 5400 (1783-HMS, 9), Stratix 5800 (1783-MMS, 4), Stratix 2500 (1783-LMS, 2) and Stratix 8000 (1783-MS, 2). The sixth, Stratix 2000, currently holds 25 structured catalog numbers: the 12 unmanaged 1783-US switches of the Stratix 2000 line plus 13 further Stratix and related networking items (1783-EMS, 1783-RMS, 1783-ZMS, 1783-CMS, 1783-MX, 1783-NATR, 1783-ETAP and 1783-SFP catalog numbers).
Alongside the switches themselves, the family includes networking items such as SFP transceivers, Ethernet taps and a NAT router. Ratings, port counts and revision levels vary by catalog number; the individual product page carries the data recorded for that specific item.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Stratix switch?
Allen-Bradley's brand of industrial Ethernet switches, jointly developed with Cisco. They use the 1783 catalog prefix and run Cisco IOS / Catalyst with Studio 5000 AOPs.
Stratix managed vs unmanaged?
Stratix 2000 unmanaged. 2500 lightly-managed (web UI). 5200/5400/5700/5800 fully-managed on Cisco IOS or Catalyst with VLANs, QoS, DLR, PRP and port security.
DLR and PRP — which Stratix support them?
DLR = single-fault EtherNet/IP ring recovery. PRP = zero-recovery dual-network redundancy. Stratix 5400/5700/5800 support DLR; selected 5400/5800 SKUs support PRP.
How do I configure a Stratix switch?
Managed Stratix use Cisco IOS / Catalyst CLI and a built-in web UI. Studio 5000 AOPs provide faceplate diagnostics from Logix projects.
